University Autos was started 35 years ago by my father who was a student working from the back of a van repairing cars in the quiet back waters of good old Cambridge off East Road. He had arrived here with a broken heart but found an employer who backed him all the way in starting his own car repair business. Then came the supply of cheap cars to clients and the regular maintenance of them and the operation moved to Occupation Road, off Newmarket Road. Eventually the financing of the budget car led to the volume of sales which the traditional finance criteria would not have allowed. The enthusiasm and the intimate knowledge of not only the product but also the needs of the clientel enabled the growth of our operation. We are entering the new millenium with a combination of hope and optimism. Only time will tell. Welcome to our beautiful historic city and happy motoring.
