TALK ABOUT!
This is YOUR page!- If you have any comments about the website or our service, please get in touch - your opinions are important, and will help us provide the service you want!
- Wanted! If we don't have it, someone else surely does! If we cannot supply the item you want, email your request, and maybe one of our visitors can fill that void in your life!
- Please note: we cannot accept items for sale on this page.
- In accordance with our Privacy Policy, full names and email addresses are with-held by default. If you are happy for us to publish your name and/or email address, please include a statement to that effect when contacting us. If you prefer us to act as intermediaries, we are happy to do so.
- If you (or we) have any snippets of useful or interesting information on any relevant topic, this is where you'll find them!
- Space permitting, this includes events such as antiques/collectors fairs, car-boot and/or attic sales, and so on - if you know of, or are organising, such an event, let us know (with dates, locations, and costs where relevant), and we'll do our best to let everyone know!
COMMENTS Top of PageWANTED! Top of PageINFOHINTS & TIPS:Attention all plate collectors. One of the worst punishments you can inflict on a plate is the diabolical metal plate-hanger! Even the plastic-coated type can seriously damage your treasured possessions (not to mention seriously reduce their value!). So please treat your plates with care and kindness. If you must hang them, use a nylon or plastic hanger, but, better yet, display them on purpose-made shelves (with a groove to prevent slipping) or in a cabinet designed for the purpose, on a plastic or wooden display stand. And don't, for heaven's sake, use those horrible self-adhesive stick-on hangers!China and glass. The more fragile items can suffer terribly from heat - never place fragile (ie. thin) porcelain, bone china, or glass items on a window-ledge exposed to strong sunshine (like being in a greenhouse), or close to a hot light-bulb in a cabinet or anywhere else. Your precious item could be cracked at best, broken at worst, by over-exposure to changes in temperature. Top of PageEVENTS Top of Page
