Ockley has entered the Best Village in Surrey competition. Judges visited us on Friday 13th July (a lucky omen?). The results were announced on 19th September, and Ockley was commended for the various facilities and functions for our 'Youth'.

Whilst appearance and tidiness in the village are important, they were really assessing our community in terms of what makes us ‘bind together’.

A number of villagers who are involved with something that helps make Ockley special made a short presentation to the judges. This was followed by a short guided tour of the village.
