HRH The Princess Royal visited Ockley on Thursday 17th May.

HRH viewed the Prideaux Gardens development.

Prideaux Gardens is the result of a partnership between the Rural Housing Trust, Ockley Housing Association, Ockley Parish Council and Mole Valley District Council. All the houses are occupied by local people, four on shared ownership terms and three rented. The development is typical of affordable village housing schemes for which the Government has promised more support in the recent Rural White Paper.

HRH The Princess Royal is President of the Rural Housing Trust.

A reception at the Village Hall followed.
