With the new model Fiat Ducato due mid to late 2014 we are working on developing a new range of the Mirage campervan and MPV day van for disabled use. Based on the combi hi roof version we are building a portfolio of suitable campers and people carriers which allow easy access for a wheelchair or the transport of a mobility scooter.

In addition to the factory options providing pre fitting of many accessories like privacy glass, Webasto heating, Electrical supply socket and the like we are hopeful that the high specification of the Ducato Combi will allow us to make your new accessible vehicle more quickly and with an even better standard of finish. Final coachbuilding of the interior and fitting of the access and type of wheelchair lift will now be completed in the UK giving more flexibility for customers to add individual touches.

The availability of the automatic gearbox function on the more efficient 130 engines means a reduced price for disabled drivers who must have auto transmission (Fiat call it Comfort-Matic).

We anticipate being able to offer several access options for wheelchair users or those with a mobility scooter to carry, with underfloor and inboard lifts from Radcliffe, AMF Bruns and Ricon allowing us to organise access via the side door on campervan conversions or side or rear doors for day vans and mpv's.

Customers ordering bespoke vehicles will be able to a large extent to personalise the interior build and accessory options making the vehicle very suitable for all types of disability and allow us to offer many configurations for both a campervan and also as a people carrier.
