Finding a tradesman or a professional business you can confidently count on to do a good job for you is a bit of a lottery.
You never know. You might strike lucky and get a business that meets your expectations through the yellow pages or a magazine. But who can afford to take the risk. Most of us nowadays rely on word of mouth referrals from friends, neighbours, business acquaintances etc in order to source the best businesses.
However there is now another way. And that is through an organisation called BNI (Business Network International). BNI is a professional referral organisation (the world's largest in fact) that exists through its members recommending the services or products of fellow members to other businesses, friends, acquaintances etc. There are 34 BNI chapters in Scotland now and their are plans to open many more.
So, Why Should You Use BNI?

- Every applicant to BNI is carefully vetted before being allowed to join the organisation. In particular, applicants must have both the right attitudes and qualifications/experience for the position in the Group that they are seeking to fill, as well as the appropriate references endorsing their suitability.
- BNI has a tightly structured code of ethics.
- All work undertaken by its members
are commensurate with the highest standards set in their trade or profession.
All applications to renew membership in the Group are carefully vetted against their performance in the previous year.
Being a member of a BNI chapter is not a right - it is a professional networking group that expects its members to operate in a highly ethical and committed manner.
