Advanced Training Services was formed in the Summer of 1999 by Roger Denman, who is registered with the Community Transport Association (CTA) as a Training Agent for the MiDAS, PATS and Car/MPV programs.

Brief background:
I became a freelance Trainer and Training Agent in 1999 after over seven years experience as a Minibus Driver Assessor/Trainer with one of the countries biggest Community Transport operators, and have been a Training Agent since MiDAS went national in 1996. I have trained and refreshed over 500 DAT's and carried out hundreds of on-road driving assessments plus Standard and Accessible theory sessions for Drivers and Passenger Assistants.

As such I am one of the most experienced and well respected Training Agents in the country.

I have, in addition, provided training at events organised by the CTA, such as the CT Events in Blackpool, Telford and GMEX and Regional Training Days.

I am an Approved Driving Instructor and hold a class 1 PCV and LGV driving licence (D+E / C+E). I also hold Certificates of Professional Competence in Road Passenger and Road Freight Operations - National and International - and am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. I am also a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

In the past I have worked for London Buses Ltd as both a driver and a management trainee. I have also spent time as an Operations Manager for Vanguard Engineering Ltd, a large commercial and industrial relocation company - now part of Pickfords.

This varied background has been invaluable in developing a well rounded approach to the services that we offer.
