Christo's Gallery - One Year On

Glasgow West End gallery celebrates with new shows

The Gallery

Christo’s is one year old

What difference a year makes.

From Jordanhill to Jersey there is new art on the walls of modest homes to mansions – all courtesy of Christo’s.

Glasgow’s west end gallery has had a busy first year of exhibitions and events. New friends have been made, paintings hung, artist’s sought, commissions completed, services evolved such as free delivery, gift vouchers, home consultation and wedding registry.

Owner Louise Burns commented “with a background in customer services I was determined to react to customer demands and create a gallery with a real customer focus. I have encouraged suggestions from day one and have adapted and grown according to what the customer is interested in. With this in mind the gallery will not stand still and my aim is for Christo’s always to deliver.

There are exciting times ahead for the gallery and in the immediate future some birthday celebrations are planned.

On display will be a new artist, Joe Hendry.

Joe is also currently working with Mem Mehmet, compiler of 2004’s internationally released “Madonna In Art” book, on another book project also for 2006 publication.

All In The Same Boat by Tom Henry

Figurative work from Tom Henry, long awaited from this highly regarded artist whose landscapes are continually admired in the gallery.

Britta Schulesser’s new work will also be on show, her figurative work and unusual technique is always sought after.

New work from gallery artists including Dronma, Elena Kourenkova, Iain Carby Angela Hynd, Rosanne Barr to name but a few will also be exhibiting in this summer’s extravaganza.

New jewellery collections from designers like Penny Gray who recycles seaglass and shell to make unique pieces that are just the thing for summer.
