Oil on Canvas 60 x 60 inches Anastasia Lennon This painting now lives in Portsoy, having been bought by a friend. It includes tulips because they are my favourite flowers and eggs because I used them to make gesso. I went through a phase of being fascinated by frescoes and was attempting to recreate the paint texture by blending powdered paint with egg. Funnily enough, I painted another picture which included eggs during the early stages of my pregnancy, and because I was unaware at the time that I was pregnant, I felt it was rather prophetic. Anyway that one is now lost in Ireland ... but that's another story!
